Warmed Up

We're back In Texas with our friends at Tropic Star and enjoying the warmth.

The heat is wonderful, supposed to be just under a hundred F. today and it might get into triple digits on Sunday.  We plan to go to the pool and tough it out.

It's so nice to be back, spending time with friends here and tonight we're off to a dance.  Other than a couple of very awkward dance lessons last fall we haven't really danced for about a year.  Trying to remember all of those moves should be a hoot.  I tend to just go for it and Bernie tends to be a little more concerned with doing it right.  Let's hope she doesn't murder me about half way through the night.  It's going to be fun.

Planning to get back to S. Padre early next week to eat that shrimp I love so much.  Next week we have to get a bit of work done to the truck for the home trip and find a way to wash the RV.  It's hard to do in this heat.

More later, thanks for stopping by, stay well, stay happy, and please leave a comment when you can.

  2. Thanks Lloyd,
We're glad to be back to our home. The heat is a nice change, it got to 36.3C yesterday. Having wintered in Winnipeg we're having to do a bit of adjusting.
    Stay well.

  3. 100 degrees - yikes! Texans are nuts - staying there in summer is worse than 'Peggers toughing out winter! Hitch that Casa up and come back to the great white north for a few months!!!!!

  4. Hi Todd
Yup - they have to work harder to stay cool than we do to stay warm and it costs them just as much. We're headed North again next week but won't make Manitoba until after May 1. The water should be gone by then. Thanks for leaving a note.

  5. We have been following your adventures, and happy to hear you are on the mend and having a good time. We finally bought a place in Arizona (not from from your old pal Eddy Gramiak). This was our 4th year there so feel we had "shopped" it out pretty good. We still have our place at Clear Lake, so if you ever get to camping in the area, let us know. Norm Verboom

  6. Hey Norm
Glad to hear you got your place. I know how much you wanted to make that move. We're headed N. on Wed. and glad of it. It was just under 100F here today and that's way over my comfort level. No plans for Clear Lake right now but who knows what tomorrow may bring. More likely to catch up with you In Brandon, we may get through there at the Aug. long weekend.
    Thanks for leaving a note.
